Less is more
In response to an art exhibition around the corner, I made an imitation of a circuit board using the previous diagram on paper, attached to a foam board, with nails, thread and battery on it. I quite like the outcome of this. I think having an exhibition around the corner did made me work a bit harder on making something. Maybe it's having somewhere and someone to show it to that motivates me to be more productive.
The working title is cheekily, 'Join the circuit'.
I rewrote my artist statement, and I have decided less is more. So I kept it so brief.
I make diagrams that imitate legitimacy, and borrow scientific visual language as institutional critique.
I studied at University of Staffordshire and Birmingham School of Art, culminating in a master’s in Fine Art in 2021. I have previously shown work locally and internationally, with awards from the Southern Health NHS Foundation and Warwick University.
