Resting (from a-n)

 I haven’t done much on the diagrams last week and this one because I’ve been busy over the weekend. I’ve been practicing on the guitar and on a learning curve right now with mastering the F chord. It’s making my hands hurt, but that’s part of learning a string instrument until my fingers form calluses.

I was watching Toy Story 5 with my brother, and we spoke about the idea behind Pixar using technology as a device to critique the social landscape. I find it interesting how it matches with the tone of The Devil Wears Prada 2, where it’s supposedly reporting the end of journalism due to the arrival of the digital zeitgeist, and then you have The Backrooms, where the plot is set in the 1990s.

I’ve been asked to present an artwork at a crit soon, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to present, because I have my ADHD developmental history appointment coming up, so I might not be in the right headspace.

I’ve gotten back to playing on Sims 4 after a long hiatus. Maybe I’m indulging in a little escapism. It used to be frowned upon to indulge in escapism, but in 2026, it’s suddenly understandable. I’m having a debate with myself if society has indeed got worse, or has it always been this way, and the non-visible on going issues have gotten more visible, that it’s created a perception that things have gotten worse?
